Below is what you said in your last message where you stated that
SMTP requeueing DOES rely on the POST server.

The requeuing (ha, more vowels) is always handled by the POST
Server.

Let me try to restate my question...
I do understand the difference between <CFMAIL> and
<CFX_iMSMail>. What I don't understand is by what process mail
that needs to be requeued by the SMTP server for some transient
error such as a DNS lookup failure would be resent. Is the
resending of this mail handled by SMTP or does SMTP pass this
responsiblilty off to POST and if it is passed to POST, how does
the SMTP server know where the POST server is if it is not local.
Is this handled in one of the SMTP servers templates? If so, which
one?
