We have downloaded the eval version of IMS and FusionMail. We have
succesfully tested IMS as an SMTP Server and it works fine. However, we do
not want to use it as a POP Server.
We are using an external POP server for our present email requirements. We
need to build an Autoresponder which can log into our existing pop server
at regular intervals, download the messages, get the sender email
addresses, insert them into our database and then send out personalized
responses using IMS. I was trying to do this through FusionMail by
modifying the rcpt file, but I can only get it to work for mails sent out
using IMS as the SMTP Server, ie mails sent from any other mail server are
not being replied to.
I am able to connect to my external pop server through the Pop Server Test
Console however, and I can view the mails on the pop server. Can I connect
to an external POP server through the IMS templates as well ?
I would appreciate any help and sample code you can give me.
