Well if you direct the mail to the iMS server in the first place then you wouldn't 
have to get the mail from anywhere (cut out the POP client) plus you'd have the mail 
right away to respond to (cut out the 15min delay).  Plus, this is then exactly what 
iMS is good at doing (a custom SMTP mail application).  So, can you direct the mail to 
iMS?  Perhaps a forwarding setup from the other mail server would do the trick.  Just 
a thought since you don't really provide details about your setup.

You shouldn't expect iMS to act as a POP client.  That's one thing it is not.  There 
are some alternatives to CFPOP out there, certainly (have you tried a search?).  Some 
CFX tags, probably some COM objects for ASP use... a few options I'm sure.
