Having multiple outgoing folders for high volumes of email is a good thing...it's a
superior architecture over having
one folder. In our tests, we have found that having a single folder for outgoing
email is detrimental and we,
therefore, decided that it was time to remove this one bottleneck from the iMS POST
server. I must admit, this is not
an idea that was created here - other email servers use this same method. I didn't
expect that there would be anyone
opposed to this idea and, in retrospect, we probably shouldn't have made it an option
(we have a tendency to make too
many things options in the iMS settings).

We added this functionality so that our clients could benefit from it. I truly
believe that it's superior to the old
architecture and I encourage anyone using 2.4 to leave the multi-folder option enabled.

Regards,
