[iMS] Retry Bounces question

Hello,   I have a question about how iMS retries bounces.   First, will it only retry soft bounces automatically?   Here is my assumption, please correct me if necessary: When I send out a large number of messages, the first set of "completed" attempts will only be hard bounces and succesfully delivered messages. Then, for the next thirty minutes, that will continue to be the case. Soft bounce send attempts will only be finished after 3 attempts or when an attempt results in success or hard bounce.   Any insight would be appreciated.
