That's not completely true. The external monitor support works just fine with
XF86 on the I7K & Rage LT Pro. And with a little bit of effort, you can get it
going on the LCD at 1024x768 quite nicely as well (building a dongle). XF86
also supports the standard ATI Rage Pro, but you need to add a ChipID setting
to get it going (same ID as the one used for the I7K).
