I have an I3.2K connected to the internet via a Linksys Etherfast card. I
only have Linux installed on the machine. I have two questions:

1. Sometimes I want to boot without the network serivces started, like when
I'm in class taking notes and can't be connected to the internet. Is there
something I can do to get an option at boot time to start with or without
network services? I know I saw a web site on how to do this (you get a menu
at boot), but I can't remember where it was.

2. Is there an easy way to get APM to work. I don't want to have to keep
popping the battery to turn off the machine.

Thanks,
Travis
