Okay, I can now do a cat /usr/share/sndconfig/sample.au >/dev/audio.

I can hear the sound. But when I run maplay to play an mp3, I get an I/O
error, caused by a DMA timeout. It proposes that I may have an irq conflict.
I have no idea where this may be coming from. I'm setting it in the BIOS and I
know I compiled the kernel with the right settings. Where do I tell it not to
scan that irq for other devices?
