We are facing another problem with Solaris 10 Update 5 "luactivate" procedure.
The system file /etc/lu/synclist contains an entry for ?/etc/shadow? which means that shadow file should be synchronized from current BE (Boot Environment) into the new BE. This is not working when the new BE is rebooted after a ?luactivate ?s? command. We can see that other files mentioned in the synclist are getting synchronized correctly, but not /etc./shadow. Enabling highest debug levels (10) for lu scripts also does not show any apparent errors. The intermediate sync file ludb.local.xml is also getting generated with a proper entry for /etc/shadow. -- This message posted from opensolaris.org
