LU is part of Solaris Express but not part of OpenSolaris. Solaris Express contains binaries that have not published in the OpenSolaris source base (eg. Live Upgrade). Fyi, LU is not maintained anymore in Solaris Express/Nevada because at one point it shall be replaced. Development of LU continues on Solaris 10 though. If you have problems with LU on Solaris 10 then contact Sun Support. -- Renaud
