I just rebooted my system. Now it doesn't boot into the original boot environment either. :-(
FYI, when booting it says: cpu: 'GenuineIntel' family 15 model 2 step 7 amd64: CPU does NOT support long mode amd64: CPU does not support amd64 executables. ... Loading '/platform/i86pc/$ISADIR/boot_archive' ... It's not trying to run the wrong kind of binaries on my machine, is it? Is ISADIR being set to amd64 even though my machine can't run amd64 executables? When I boot from the live CD, it also only has an amd64 directory; I don't know how this is supposed to work. Anyway, since my system is now completely unusable, I'm about to reinstall it. Lin, do you want me to check anything to debug this problem before I destroy all the evidence?
