Yes, I select an item from the menu and I get the error after selecting the item. The sequence that led to the problem is: pkg image-update from 98 to 101a-rc1b reboot into new image running in new image, change hostname in /etc/hostname.* reboot Error 16 when trying to boot new image Error 16 when trying to boot previous boot environment booting into original boot environment works, which is where the system is running now, but I'm afraid to reboot it for fear that it will stop working too
