According to the BIOS, when I select the boot device, it's listed as 
"CHIPSBNKUSB 2.0".

Looking at /var/adm/message, it claims:
usba: [ID 912658 kern.info] USB 2.0 device (usb204,6025) operating at hi 
speed (USB 2.x) on USB 2.0 root hub: storage at 4, scsa2usb at bus address 2
usba: [ID 349649 kern.info] CHIPSBNK USB 2.0 03020800FCE05407

Unfortunately, I don't have another USB flash device to try this with.
