Hi Gary. I've been able to pxeboot a Solaris machine from a Linux machine. My Linux box was a CentOS 4.5 machine and Solaris backend nodes.
Perhaps I can help you jumpstart your install. Which version of Solaris are you using? What does your tftp configuration look like? What is your tftpboot directory and what are its contents?
