These are my conclusions on gma 950:- 1.Mainly there is no hardware vertex shader on gma 950. 2.since hardware tnl is done on hardware vertex shaders(in the case of intel igp's only)so no harware tnl. 3.vertex shader 2.0 and 2.0a are emulated because of the registry switch and they are processed by the cpu(resulting in very poor perfomance) 4.it has only hardware pixel shader 2.0 which is fast.thats why games like f.e.a.r work because they rely on pixel shading abilities only. 5.Volumetric effects(property of a normal shader 2.0 card) is absent and thats why crysis water looks horrible on gma 950 whereas even swiftshader can produce that water well... thats a drawback. 6.overall, i can say that gma 950 is a great onboard solution inspite of all the drawbacks that i mentioned and i am proud to have it.
final thought: i am grateful for all the members of this group and of course mr.rabbit(the god of mod) for inspiring me on learning about my onboard solution.... happy that i could learn this much on onboard GPUs..... thanks guys....
