just to add point here,vista consume a LOT of resource juz to be the most crappish OS ever made.....so,assuming u have 1gb of RAM,it's a hard time for GTA. or if u have 2gb or more, u can try this instead: -compitability option : desktop composition disable and emulate XP sp2 -try to set CPU affinity for GTA to use juz 1 core (assuming u have 2 or more core CPU) (dont know if GTASA but it can solve most lag problem for some game as vista core CPU management are crap) -try to set power option to high performance, a known issue as vista was the only OS that i see (in my opinion) that trying to hard to slows down the performance of CPU and RAM clock.
dont really know bout vista, but that's all that i know, good luck man. i will continue searching some work round to ur problem here.
