Just thought I try this OS out for fun with intel stock drivers. World of Warcraft's gx.log says this
1/19 15:12:56.062 CGxDevice::DeviceAdapterID(): RET: 1, VID: 8086, DID: 27a2, DVER: 0.0 1/19 15:12:56.093 CGxDevice::DeviceAdapterInfer(): RET: 1, DID: 0 1/19 15:12:56.093 DetectHardware(): 1/19 15:12:56.093 cpuIdx: 1 1/19 15:12:56.093 videoID: 168 1/19 15:12:56.093 soundIdx: 0 1/19 15:12:56.093 memIdx: 0 1/19 15:12:56.125 ConsoleDeviceInitialize(): hwDetect = 1, hwChanged = 0 1/19 15:12:56.312 CGxDeviceD3d::DeviceSetFormat(): 1/19 15:12:56.312 Format 800 x 600 @ 60 Fullscreen, ArgbX888, Ds24X, multisample 1 1/19 15:12:56.718 Caps: 1/19 15:12:56.718 numTmus: 8 1/19 15:12:56.718 generateMipMaps: 0 1/19 15:12:56.718 texFilterAnisotropic: 1, 4 1/19 15:12:56.718 rttFormat: 1, 1 1/19 15:12:56.718 pixelShaderTarget: 4 1/19 15:12:56.718 vertexShaderTarget: -1 1/19 15:12:56.718 vertexShaderConstants: 0 1/19 15:12:56.718 numStreams: 16 And "pixelShaderTarget: 4" is what seems the most interesting. "vertexShaderTarget: -1" seems interesting also. Both these values are different on XP and windows 7 btw. And also I noticed that the 2k divers are a month updated more then the XP drivers (3/08 to 2/08) (xp drivers im not 100% sure but its either 08 or 09). I'm still updating WoW so i'm curious if theres much of a performance difference.
