it depends on what are u doing.... i prefer intel CPUs for media purposes and multimedia performance (decoding, encoding, BD playback etc..), and AMD CPUs for pure gaming machines ( a combo with ATI graphics is highly recommencded) ...AMD is a great company btw....even the ATI series, the ATI HD 4 series can process DX10.1 while NVIDIA is lagging behind...even the new ATI HD 5 series now fully support DX11, while NVIDIA, well juz not yet...
