Hey I put in a pretty good word for amd back there, I didn't say the sucked or anything, I was giving them both the credit they deseved, its true though that since way back in the windows NT times that AMD CPU's have needed patches to fully work with WINDOWS operating systems, if you had of installed linux on that same machine it would have worked perfectly, its a compatibility issue that windows has with AMD and not with Intel, if you look around you will find that no such issue exists with a unpatched windows 7 on the same chipset that would have previously required a operating system such as XP or Vista to be patched which points a little in the direction of microsoft and away from intel. And there is no doubt about it when it comes to gaming that you will find greater compatibility with intel processors and more issue with AMD processors. But as I stated before AMD CPU's are a must have for mobile platforms because of there ability to run at higher speeds (floating point operations per second) at lower clock rates which means lower battery use and less heat. Anyway I will continue with this tomoz cause I gotta sleep (lol its 2:30 in the morning were I am) anyway see ya.
