All Blizzard Entertainment games are a great example of running better
on XP but worse on vista or 7 (on a 950GMA at least).

Source Engine games are also known to run better on XP.



Plus most games should at least get a general boost in XP because of
Hardware-Accelerated Audio. In vista or 7, all audio (that isn't in
OpenAL) in games is Software-Accelerated through the CPU.
