Phoenix BIOS Editor v2.2.1.3 (latest I could locate)

If the VBIOS flash were to go wrong, you would pretty much have to
blind recover (the easiest way is to just take out your HDD and then
let it boot from the CD-Rom itself)

Just make sure you try this first before the flash to verify that the
disk works. And for final warning, make 100% SURE that you have YOUR
original bios on that disk (I've heard of people flashing wrong BIOS's
and having chaos).

And if you want to be 100%+ sure your orignal BIOS will reflash to
your laptop, just try flashing it in windows with HP's tool (with my
compaq, it had a tool that checked my BIOS first before flashing the
updated one, and the first time I had the wrong bios lol)

Yea your BIOS from HP should contain the orignal VBIOS and should work
with no issues.

And hmm.... I'll have to check on my image I guess. I made that image
in linux for my laptop and I had it emulate a floppy disk when I burnt
it. I think I burnt it like that, and it either extracted what I
needed manually, or it somehow knew to boot one of the 2 files which
contained the stuff.

If I can't find out how to modify mine, I'll try to find you a generic
crysis recovery disk image or instructions.
