ah, i've heard of some modchips doing that. did you know that there are some that even apply antialiasing on games? ;) of course it draws more power from the cpu :( but still, im not sure its worth the trouble since the loading get MUCH slower as usb 1.1 runs at less than half the speed of ps2 optical drive...
