While searching for possible registry tweaks for my 945GME chipset, I did find out that MAYBE the video hardware acceleration isn't at the maximum setting, which is by default in nvidias and atis, and if I'm not mistaken even for intel in xp. It seems that the in the intel registry folders, there are 2 entries called "Acceleration.Level", set at value 4, the range being from 1 to 5. I've seen in the past how the performance can be hampered by having lower acceleration settings, so if this following the same numbering rules, there could be quite the performance gain.
