The difference is that OpenAL enables audio acceleration. Of course
that the quality of both the audio hardware/chipset as well as the
driver, do make a lot of difference. Don't forget that some onboard
chipsets don't resample audio so well, so windows audio settings might
have to be lowered to gain both some fps and better audio overall.
