Man, I've used it on tons of chipsets, mine was actually quite little
affected, but all showed signs of audio degradation, be it dedicated
soundcards or onboard chipsets. Besides audio quality loss, it's an
extra driver which steals cpu cycles, which for games is serious.

The fake audio improvement is already bad for itself, but when making
a computer slower, that's unforgivable.

Just get the latest driver for your soundcard/onboard chipset, turn
off all enhancements, and from there play with EQ (not reverb/room/
enviroment!). That way you'll have the cleanest sound, tweaked to your
particular taste, a smoother running computer at full performance.
