@THEfog. I used to have one of those laptop cooling fan platforms, but the thing broke a while back.
I'm not against overclocking at all, I've done it in the past. My main concern is that unless I'm going to compute inside the 'fridge I don't have many cooling alternatives at the moment haha. How drastic would overclocking that CPU from 1.7 to 2.0 be? While I've overclocked in the past, I've never done it on a laptop. I figure that would be a good step, being as I've been recommended to upgrade to a 2 GHz dual core anyway, if I can OC to 2.0, that's one more point in my favor.
