Hmm. So this isn't as simple as I originally hoped. Thanks for the /etc/ppp/ip-up hint, I'll see what I can figure out and let the list know. I was doing some things with static routes yesterday and had some luck, but it's difficult because the routes go away when the ppp interface comes down. I'm a little surprised this is as difficult as it is in OS X. Seems like it wouldn't be all that unusual. on 5/25/04 7:51 AM, Andrew Schmiechen <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> wrote: > You may want to see if your cell phone company can provide TAP paging access > via modem. Unfortunately, not an option. I used to be with a different cell phone company that had TAP, but everything else about that company was terrible. So I went with a different company that has great service but no TAP before I realized that OS X isn't smart enough to switch internet connections when routes are unreachable, only when an interface goes down. Very annoying. Thanks again, I'll do some more checking and see what I can do. Regards, Bob -- Bob Hayes Director of Technology Artbeats Software, Inc.
