Matt,
I 100% agree with you and have submitted this same change request
many times over the years. This is the #1 complaint about Intermapper
from our Network Operations Center staff. I can't tell you how many
complaints I have taken about this.
In our Device List we see the down devices of course, but never the
critical or alarm devices because there are dozens and dozens of
acknowledged down devices that get sorted ahead of critical and alarm.
The whole point of acknowledging devices is that you don't want them
to generate alerts and obscure detection of new problems, and for
users of the RemoteAccess client the main way of becoming aware of
new problems is via the Device List (since it isn't feasible to have
a hundred maps open).
Acknowledged devices should be sorted to the bottom of the list. No
doubt in my mind about that. Then if I every wanted to see them I
would sort the list in reverse order.

All,
We currently use Intermapper for the majority of the monitoring in our
organization. We use the device list heavily and it's become an
inconvenience for us to filter through multiple acknowledged icons to
find real alerts. It would be useful for us if we could have the
acknowledged icons not show up on the device list. Can we submit a
change request for this action or can we purchase a custom update that
will adjust this for us? Has anyone else experienced a similar
difficulty with this feature?
Thanks,
