I don't know that app that you're talking about, but what it sounds like to
me is that you either:

   1. Tried to build HelloIOIO yourself and have done so incorrectly. In
   that case, try the precompiled HelloIOIO.apk from the software release
   bundle.
   OR:
   2. Use the precompiled HelloIOIO.apk from the wrong software package.
   Try downloading the latest bundle (v5.04). When you run it, it might tell
   you that your firmware needs updating. If so, do it.
   OR:
   3. You forgot to disable ADB when testing with HelloIOIO.
