+1 to the crappy usb cables.

we find about a 5% error rate on the red cables, so always order more when we manufacture boards. We also always ensure our resellers and system contractors have a spare on hand as well.

I got that with a crappy USB cable. It could be other things obviously, but check the easy stuff first.

Am I missing something here or is this a Software bug? Could it be that the cheap Chinese power adapter is creating a groundloop or something that might have a negative effect on the USB signal?
