How (if at all) does ion work with multiple monitors?
In case the answer is "no, but I'm working on it but
haven't decided how it should work" (not very likely,
I guess), here's what I think would feel most natural
to me -- though it's by no means obviously best:
- Each monitor has its own set of workspaces
- at any given time, each monitor has its own
current workspace
- iff two monitors are the same size, you can
transfer a workspace from one to another
by some means
- explicitly selecting a workspace (via f9,
in the default bindings) switches workspace
on the monitor that has that workspace in its
set
- next/prev operations affect the monitor where
input focus currently is
But I'm interested in any multi-monitor support
there may be, even if it's only treating multiple
equal-sized monitors as providing a single big
display. (Perhaps you get that for free from X;
I'm very ignorant about this stuff.)
