It doesn't "properly". However, it is possible to write layer2 floatws kludges that do something like this. I believe detach.lua in the scripts repository implements such a kludge. But, yeah, at least docked windows should not manage their own transients, and maybe other small windows could also refuse to manage their own transients and a better location found. -- Tuomo
