I think a normal pager is pretty much useless, especially in Ion. Exposé
also doesn't scale to the number of xterms one can quite manageably have in
Ion. However, a (keyboard-operated) Exposé-like feature for workspaces (and
full-screen client windows) might be rather useful. That is, hitting a key
would display screenshots of all the workspaces, and enable cycling or
otherwise navigating between those screenshots. It's quite a lot of work
to implement, however. To make something that actually works, one needs to
write a composition manager for the XComposite extension. I don't have
that much time to work on Ion these days, so it is highly unlikely that 
I will engage in such an activity in this decade. If anyone wants to give
a go at that, I have a few other ideas how a composition manager could be 
useful...
