At the moment, I didn't manage to get back all the features of detach.lua with the last releases of ion and their different management of "float on top of split". Unfortunately, I didn't have time to investigate, and see what comes from my config and lua, and what comes from ion itself. I'm sad to head that you're tired developing ion3, but not willing to contribute significantly. So, I'm not happy, but not in a position to complain ;-). Thanks for the good work on ion. From PWM introducing tabs to ion itself and its really novel management of windows, I can say that ion has been a great research project, and a great window-manager. Now, I'm not sure whether I'll stay with ion3 and try to fix my config, or migrate to something else. Perhaps WMII? -- Matthieu
