Yeah, even fullscreen mode works suprisingly well (there used to be
problems with this in older Ion versions). Atleast when you use -vo sdl.
With -vo xv it for some reason switches to the last desktop after
closing...
When you're not in fullscreen mode, however, things get a bit worse.
First, mplayer has the usual problem with not checking what dimensions
it actually got but assumes it got the ones it asked for. Another thing
is that it doesn't preserve the aspect when you change the window size,
but I guess that's a generic mplayer problem.
PS.
Having a toggle to say "always open window with this class/name in this
frame" would be neat, for cases when you're playing lots of smaller
video files in a little corner (mplayer closes/reopens the window
between every file). I know I can do it "statically" with the config,
but I don't *always* want to have mplayer in the same frame *all* the
time...
