Yes it works well in fullscreen and even when I put it in a frame it keeps the intended dimensions unless I resize the frame while playing (then it stretches to match frame-size regardless of aspect ratio..). I would prefer it in a floating window because that gives me the freedom to resize it independently of the other frames and drag it anywhere I like - again independently of my carefully arranged frame-layout. :-) > > The final killer-feature in that department would be floating transients. > > No way. To me it would be the "missing link" from ion to an "old fashioned" WM like pwm, blackbox or whatever. Whenever an app doesn't play well with ion I could just open it in a floating window and it'd be fine. There are many apps that would finally become "usable as intended" in ion that way. First off all those audio/media-players like XMMS, gqmpeg, snackAmp and so forth. Also the gimp, all those instant messenger apps (jabber, gaim, icq etc.), gkrellm and I bet many more that I can't think of right now. I have no idea how much effort it would be to implement such a thing but the optimal solution (IMHO) would be a magic kludge that matches on the windows you want floating and, well, makes them floating, on whatever kind of workspace they happen to pop up. Just my 2 cents. :-) What do the others think? greets
