All I can say is that this example works perfect ok on my system in
all three cases (firefox window visible, frame containing such a window
visible, frame containing such a window on a non-visible workspaces).
$ gnome-moz-remote --version
Gnome gnome-moz-remote 1.4.2
$ firefox --version
Mozilla 1.6, Copyright (c) 2003 mozilla.org, build 2004020719
