Oddly enough, I had several off list reply's, and a couple of them mentioned Cyclemeter. I went a head and bought it. $4.99 USD.

It seems to be very accurate for me- tho I'm still using a 4s.
The speedometer part, or just in general? I assumed that my issues dealt with hardware.
I do about 100miles a week with no problems from Cyclemeter. gregg
I am jealous! I get about 30 miles a week. About 10 on the bicycle and the rest on my treadmill walking.
