To all: Thank you for your help!!

Monday I had tried removing nearly 10GB of music, but it filled right up
again within an hour, which is weird. I tried removing photos and the same
thing happened.

Today I tried "offload unused apps" which cleared 30GB of space (yep, app
bloat). Within a few minutes, there was 30+GB of free space and the amount
of other was reduced from about 50GB to a sliver that is barely visible in
the graph. So far, it has not filled up again.
