Why are we wasting all this bandwidth on an irrelevant, proprietary
technology that has no importance to this lists members.
This is an iPhone dev list, flash isn't supported, get over it an move
on.
I personally could give a toss about Flash and would like to get back
to discussing topics that matter.

From the 10.1 public beta release notes

"In Flash Player 10.1, H.264 hardware acceleration is not supported
under Linux and Mac OS. Linux currently lacks a developed standard API
that supports H.264 hardware video decoding, and Mac OS X does not
expose access to the required APIs. We will continue to evaluate
adding the feature to Linux and Mac OS in future releases."
Hope that helps,

Video decode and compositing acceleration is not present on OSX
builds of
Flash Player, but yes some other (drawing) functions are OpenGL
accelerated
on OSX.
