This only has to be done since the stuff exceeds the size of a 1.44MB
floppy. We discovered "memdisk" (part of H.Peter Anvin's toolbox) which
is able to boot a harddisk image, or a 2.88MB floppy image, over PXE.
This might kill two birds with one stone: what if there's no FD drive
anymore, and juggling disks is no longer necessary. Priceless if you have
to do it more than once :-)

Please have a look (using the local "open" interface) at the output of

user summary 1 (supposed 1 is the LAN channel)
user list 1
channel authcap 1 1
channel getciphers ipmi 1
channel getciphers sol 1

it might - for testing purposes - be helpful to add another user
(locally again):
user set name 7 RUTH
user set password 7 WHATEVERYOUCANREMEMBER
user enable 7
channel setaccess 1 7 privilege=4

(that's what I did here, and it somehow worked IIRC although I'm still
stuck with ADMIN)

Can you try to sniff the traffic? UDP 623 if I'm not mistaken...
