Hello Andy, I have another set of IntelS5000XAL machines. I used "pefconfig" util to populate the PEF table entries, but still I am unable to receive the PETraps for power off/on events or in general trap for any IPMI events. Though I have set the lan alert destination and the "alert immediate" IPMI command is working and its traps are also being received.
It seems that the PEF Alert Policy is not getting populated. I am using " ./pefconfig -F lan2 -N ipmi -U "" -P "ab1234" -r -A 10.0.0.73" command to configure PEF, and, " ./ipmitool -I lanp -H 10.0.100.218 -U "" -P "ab1234" -C 0 -o intelplus event "Pwr Unit Stat" "Power off/down" assert" command to generate an IPMI event. What is the correct way to configure the BMC for sending out Lan alerts? Am I missing someting here? For your referenece, following is the log of "pefconfig" and "ipmitool" commands: [EMAIL PROTECTED] util]# ./pefconfig -F lan2 -N ipmi -U "" -P "ab1234" -r -A 10.0.0.73 pefconfig ver 1.59 Opening connection to node ipmi ... -- BMC version 0.55, IPMI version 2.0 ipmi_cmd_lan2 error 204 ipmi_cmd_lan2 error 204 ipmi_cmd_lan2 error 204 ipmi_cmd_lan2 error 204 ipmi_cmd_lan2 error 204 pefconfig: GetPefEntry ...
