I would like to think my Parents had me in front of the TV to watch
Armstrong and Aldrin, but I never asked them. I remember watching a daytime
Apollo launch at school when they wheeled in a TV on a rolling cart. Today, we
can just show things from a computer or television feed on a screen in our
classrooms.
I also remember staying home from school to watch the first launch of the
Space Shuttle. I have it on an audio cassette somewhere. We were in Cape
Canaveral for the last Shuttle launch and I have that on a video tape that I
shot. A scanner beneath the camera provides background audio with a feed from
Mission Control.
