I don't really see how it benefits Irish fencing if she never fences in 
Ireland. It would benefit Irish fencing if she competed in Irish tournaments 
and raised the level as a result. God knows the womens tournaments need 
something like that.   Owen, I can't be arsed quoting you but your comment 
about a female sabreur beating the guys - its already happened. Remember that 
American girl who fences in our club?? You know they one who is able to beat 
the guys in the club? Or was it so traumatic for you that you have suppressed 
that memory?
