@Dennis - various thoughts:
- Commons is currently consistent and IMO should remain that way - both in how
N&L are named and handled
- Renaming N&L files is alot of make-work (ant and m1 builds would break)
- an alternative Apache N&L package with .txt extenstions would be preferrable
to renaming
- What about source and binary distros? They should contain the same N&L files
- how could the generated ones get into those distros?
- seems like wasted effort to change something that works and is simple and
esp. to something that doesn't currently work well
