I agree It makes sense for that to be the default behavior. But do you still see room for an optional error handler field, that when specified allows the fire method to redirect all proxied exceptions? Or even a separate fire() method that accepts the handler as a parameter? fireWithHandler()? Now that I think about it, providing a handler might allow the event provider to also handle return values from listeners, In addition to exceptions.
