I shall strip these out. It's mainly boilerplate from my IDE.
* the resource files ought to have AL headers.
This had not occurred to me. I shall update this.
* it would help to have some documentation for the resource files (and indeed
Javadoc)
I'll add some. Documentation isn't my strong point, but I'll try to add enough
to make it clear what each bit does.
