Sorry for the late response. I adapted the Swagger Petstore sample and it's
really ugly that it doesn't work out of the box:

I agree that changing the default within a minor release is bad so I thought of
providing openapi-configuration.yaml as Andriy suggested. Unfortunately this
isn't scanned by default, so I opened CXF-7728.
