David Young commented on GUACAMOLE-1218:
----------------------------------------
on 16 June 2021, downloaded and used Maven to compile Master, specifically
guacamole.war and the json extension. Restarted tomcat using them both. The
following two lines appeared in the catalina.out log:
21:02:30.001 [main] ERROR o.a.g.extension.ProviderFactory - authentication
provider extension failed to start:
org.apache.guacamole.environment.LocalEnvironment.getInstance()Lorg/apache/guacamole/environment/LocalEnvironment;
21:02:30.051 [main] INFO o.a.g.extension.ExtensionModule - Extension "Encrypted
JSON Authentication" loaded.
> Move guacamole-auth-json into the main project.

> guacamole-auth-json is so nice! I started to dump some major time into
> starting to develop a custom auth extension which would have ended up as
> basically this but worse, only to stumble across it just in time. Why not
> distribute it as a binary and document it on the website with the other
> first-class citizen extensions?
