Ok on your comments [~jurmous] After your changes, patch is ready for master
and branch-1 (Usually when we deprecate, we point at alternative... you might
address this in the issue that does the cut over for master?). Lets try and
get hadoopqa to pass for us and get this patch in quick since it big and liable
to rot....
